
The ProCKD consortium organized a meeting of patients from Greece and Spain, to analyze how patients experience the impact on employment when they suffer from chronic kidney disease and must enter kidney replacement therapy. The debate yielded some interesting conclusions: – The importance of attitude and coping with treatment – Maintaining employment in dialysis was indicated as a key factor – Age and comorbidities as factors of work absenteeism in people with CKD – The importance of the disability certificate, disability pensions and other benefits as an incentive to leave work activity. – The sensitization of employers to adapt work activity to the new situation of the worker with kidney disease The event took place through the Zoom platform on Saturday 16 between 13 CET
